How to Play CS Grand Slam

CS Grand Slam is a roster-draft challenge inspired by the Intel Grand Slam. Draft 5 CS legends, then see if your team can win 4 or more of 10 IEM circuit events.

How It Works

  1. Fill 5 roster slots: Anchor I, Rotator I, AWP, Rotator II, Anchor II.
  2. Each round: spin year → spin team → draft one player (auto-placed by primary role).
  3. 1 year reroll and 1 team reroll per round.
  4. After the draft, your roster score is calculated, then simulated across all 10 events.

The 10 IEM Events

Your team is tested at:

  1. IEM Katowice
  2. ESL Pro League S1
  3. IEM Rio
  4. IEM Melbourne
  5. IEM Dallas
  6. IEM Cologne
  7. ESL Pro League S2
  8. IEM Beijing
  9. IEM Atlanta
  10. ESL Major

Each event uses the same placement logic as CS Major Run, with a per-event difficulty multiplier (the ESL Major is the baseline at 1.0×; other events are tuned slightly easier or harder). A small ±5 score jitter is applied per event for variety.

Results

| Outcome | Requirement | | --- | --- | | Grand Slam | Win 4 or more of the 10 events | | Grand Slam Failed | Fewer than 4 wins |

Roster Scoring

Same formula as CS Major Run (0–100):

  • Year Rating, Top 20, Team Rank, Major Win bonus, Choke penalty
  • +5 with an IGL on the roster, −10 without

Your event placements are derived from this score — a higher roster score wins more stops on the circuit.

Strategy

  • Consistency beats one superstar — you need four separate wins.
  • Target years with deep tier-1 rosters (multiple Major winners on one team).
  • IGL is mandatory for competitive scores.
  • Save rerolls for rounds where the spin lands on a weak year/team combo.
  • Balance AWP, Rotator, and Anchor picks — role auto-placement means you cannot force a player into the wrong slot.
